The puppy who wouldn't eat

Once upon a time, a little puppy was bought by a girl named Lucy. She named him Sheik. Sheik was a very sweet doggy who loved everyone, but the only problem was, he ate too slowly. Now that was a problem because if he ate too slowly he would never finish his food.

Lucy tried really hard to make him eat fast, but in vain-nothing happened. One day, Lucy's father got an idea. He went to a pet shop and bought a quite large squeaky toy. He stepped on it and a large "Eeeeee" came but a quite large dip came inside it too!!! So he said "Good, that is big enough for Sheik's food to go in". Then he went home.

When Sheik's dinner time came, Lucy's father put his food in the squeaky toy after stepping on it. Sheik as usual ate slowly. Then a queer thing happened, the hole in the toy started coming up a little and suddenly came up fully and the food splattered all over Sheik's snout and flappy jowls. Everyone burst into laughter. "Woof" said Sheik surprised and annoyed. After this happened for a few days Sheik made up his doggy mind that he would eat so fast that nothing would splatter on his face and jowls. And that's just what he did !!!
